Syama Sastry was the oldest of the Music
Trinity. A multi-coloured stamp was issued on Syama Sastry on 21 December 1985.
(The name is spelt as Shyama Shastri by the Department.) It is in the
denomination of 1oo (Re. 1), with perf. 13 x 13. It was printed by photogravure
process on unwater-marked adhesive stamp paper at the India Security Press,
Nashik. A First Day Cover was also issued on the occasion.
