The 18th Guru Debaprasad Award Festival 2024 was held from 25 to 27 October at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar, celebrating the legacy of the legendary guru Debaprasad Das. Organised by Odissi dance institution, Tridhara, the event marked 17 years of honouring Debaprasad Das’s contributions to Indian classical arts. The festival recognised several luminaries with the guru Debaprasad Lifetime Achievement Award 2024, including Mayadhar Rout (Odissi), Gopal Chandra Panda (Odissi Music), Harmohan Khuntia (Mardala), and Ramesh Prasad Panigrahi (Natya Sahitya). Guru Debaprasad Prativa Award 2024, was awarded to Ajith Bhaskar, Rupa Rani Das Borah Tejas Upadhye and Vickneshwaram Gonasergar.

The inaugural ceremony also featured Sutra Dance Theatre led by Datuk Ramli Ibrahim, The evenings showcased performances by eminent artists, Madhavi Mudgal, Chitra Visweswaran, Ramlal Bareth and group, and Sabda Nrutya by Bhagabata Pradhan and group. The final day showcased the Odissi production Sabda swara patta and Sita Ram Bakyalapam performed by the principal dancers of Tridhara, choreographed by Gajendra Kumar Panda.
