Attendance Awards

The Attendance 25th year awards were presented on 19 and 27 December 2025 (in Bengaluru and Delhi, respectively), recognising excellence across performance, scholarship and service to the field of dance. The Mohan Khokar Award for Dance Writing was conferred on Leela Venkatraman; the Uday Shankar Award on Jigyasa Giri for Dakshin Kathak and choreography; the M.K. Saroja Award for the true guru–shishya parampara on Harish Sundarlal Gangani for dance teaching at MSU Baroda; the Rukmini Devi Award for Overall Contribution on Rama Vaidyanathan; and the Ram Gopal Award for Best Male Soloist on Rahul Varshney. Veteran Rathna Papa Kumar received the Maya Rao Lifetime Achievement Award, while special mentions were presented to Putanjani Purgus (Mauritius), Bhupinder Sachdeva of Printways, Panipat, and Sonya Wynne Singh (France) for contributions to academics and allied fields.
