C. Saroja and C. Lalitha, who sing in
tandem as the Bombay Sisters, are
among the more popular concert musicians. They are particularly popular in
Kerala, to which they might be said to
belong, but only nominally, inasmuch
as their parents belonged to that State
and they, the sisters, both were born in
Trissoor- Saroja in 1937 and Lalitha in
1939. But realty, they are popular all
over the South and wherever there are
audiences for Carnatic music
