Vidwan R.K. Srikantan hails from an illustrious family
of musicians of Rudrapatnam, a village in Karnataka, A
leading vocalist, he received his training from his father, the
late Pandit R. Krishna Sastri who was a renowned vidwan
of Mysore, and from his violinist brother R.K. Venkatrama
Sastri. He has been featured several times in All India
Radio's National Programme of Music and its Sangeet
Sammelan.
