Born in 1934 in Kolkata to Tarakumar Bhaduri and Prabha Devi, Ketaki Dutta went on to become a stage and screen actor. Her first stage appearance was at the age of eight.
Some of the notable productions which featured her are Noti Binodini, Antony Kabiyal and Barbadhu. However, her role as a prostitute in Barbadhu led to severe ostracism and deeply affected her personal life. She did a number of roles in films as well, and is remembered most for her performance in Kankal (1950) and Patalghar (2003).
She passed away in July 2003.
